Networking is one of the most important areas in Information Technology. Networking and communications operations are thrust areas for CMC-ITES, which specialises in setting up and maintaining managed web-linked networks, intranets and wide-area networks (WANs) for its clients.

Some projects

	Kochi Port Trust: Web-based EDI system for transactions within as well as between ports, steamer agents, cargo handling agents and their banks.
	Central Bank: Wide Area Network connectivity. Central Bank's housing loan database is hosted on the ITES server, which not only covers Customs and Central Excise Acts, Rules, Tariff, Notifications, Circulars, etc, but has a electronic notice board and email facility for departmental officers.
	Ministry for Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES): ITES has developed and intranet for MNES and computerised all the MNES divisions, creating a paperless office. The application provides database security and different access levels as per the hierarchy. An intranet was also set up and developed for the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore.
	Airports Authority of India (AAI): Comprehensive networking of AAI, involving high-speed (2 mbps) networking between the operational complex, cargo, ATS, international terminal and domestic terminal. ITES has also set up 64 kbps Internet port connectivity and a website for AAI.
