April 17, 2007: Software firm CMC on Monday posted an over two fold rise in net profit for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs. 19.54 crore as compared to Rs. 8.55 crore for the same quarter last year. However, the total income of the company decreased to Rs. 251.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, from Rs. 259.71 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, the software company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. For the year ended March 31, the company recorded a 45.30% increase in net profit at Rs. 64.09 crore as compared to Rs. 44.11 crore last year. The total income rose to Rs. 994.40 crore from Rs. 857.75 crore.
