CMC net up by 7.4 per cent

CMC Ltd has posted a 7.4 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 10.88 crores for the third quarter ended December 2003, compared to Rs 10.13 crores reported in same period previous fiscal. Total income in the period increased to Rs 201.76 crores against Rs 140.55 crores posted in Q3 of the last financial year. On a consolidated basis, the CMC group has registered a net profit of Rs 8.62 crores and total income of Rs 209.89 crores for the Q3 of fiscal 2003-04.
