CMC revenues jump 46 per cent

Mumbai, January 28: CMC Ltd of the Tata group showed a 44 per cent jump in revenues at Rs 201.77 crores for the quarter-ended December 31, 2003 against Rs 140.55 crores in the corresponding period of last year.

According to an official release, the company earned profit before tax of Rs 16.48 crores. "We are augmenting our offshore facilities to further enhance the overseas revenues. The company's endeavour is to expand its global market reach with its array of IT solutions and competencies," Mr R Ramanan, MD and CEO, CMC, was quoted as saying.

For the nine-month period, the company's total revenues stood at Rs 544.93 crores, a 46 per cent increase from Rs 374.45 crores in the corresponding period last year. Profit before tax during the same period was Rs 40.75 crores.
