Kalpana Morparia appointed CMC director

Mumbai: CMC, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), announced that the company's board of directors had appointed Kalpana Morparia, vice chairman (insurance securities & asset management), ICICI Group, as an independent director effective March 11.

Morparia was the joint managing director of ICICI Bank till May, 2007. With the addition of Morparia, there are seven directors on the CMC board including four independent directors. These include S Ramadorai, R Ramanan, Ishaat Hussain, KRS Murthy, Surendra Singh and Shardul Shroff.
