CMC
posts a revenue of Rs. 205.0 crore and
net profit of Rs. 9.3 crore for quarter
ended December 2004

Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy
Services Limited and a part of the Tata
Group today announced its financial results
for the quarter ended December 31,2004.
The Company earned a revenue of 205.23
crore, an increase of 1.7 per cent over
the corresponding quarter of the previous
year. Despite an increase of 22 per cent
in the revenue of Systems Integration
SBU from Rs. 50.69 crore to Rs. 62.25
crore, the overall revenue growth has
been marginal due to decline in revenue
from Customer Services SBU from Rs. 138.72
crore to Rs. 129.70 crore. Overall there
was pressure on margins resulting in drop
in profit after tax from Rs. 10.89 crore
to Rs. 9.28 crore.
For
the nine months ended December 2004. The
total revenues of the Company increased
by 4 per cent to Rs. 561.01 crore compared
with Rs. 545.93 crore in the corresponding
period in the previous year. The Company's
profit after tax increased by 45 per cent
to Rs. 39.79 crore compared to Rs. 27.45
crore in the corresponding period in
the previous year. The consolidated revenues
of the Company along-with its wholly owned
subsidiary, CMC Americas; Inc. for the
same period was Rs. 591.01 crore compared
to Rs. 574.69 crore achieved in the corresponding
period last year. The consolidated profit
after tax increased by 73 per cent to
Rs. 41.32 crore compared with Rs. 23.94
crore achieved the corresponding period
last year.
