of the IT companies.
EDGE
imparts IT knowledge and skills with industry
orientation and live projects on software
engineering and quality and coding standards.
With its vast experience in executing
large domestic and global scale projects,
CMC exposes students to projects on variety
of domains and technology platforms to
attain competence. The course also gives
coaching to handle selection tests by
providing key inputs to crack aptitude
tests and group discussions with ease.
A battery of mock tests designed as per
those conducted by IT companies are used
during the coaching sessions on issues
like presentation skills, body language,
assertiveness, articulation, written and
spoken communication among others.

or MCA, MSc (IT / CS) from the batches
of 2003, 2004 and likely to pass in 2005
are eligible to do this course. Students
can pursue the 350 hours EDGE course either
following the regular (six months) or
fast track (three months) mode. The fee
structure for this programme is Rs 15,000
for the entire programme including the
mock tests and coaching. The course will
be offered in select CMC authorised centres.
Speaking
on the occasion of launching this unique
initiative, Mr Chinta Prakash, Head
CMC Centre, said, "This new course
will help bridge this growing demand for
IT education and training. With IT sector
poised for major growth, need for skilled
professionals will become crucial for
deployment of resources in quick time
and EDGE will help companies reduce both
time and cost when recruiting people."
CMC
has been involved in education and training
business from 1978 and has formed the
SBU in 1993. Commonwealth Secretariat,
United Nations agencies, Ministry of External
