CMC lends its expertise to TRW Automotive Inc, worldwide

CMC will provide engineering services (both electronic and mechanical) to TRW Automotive offices worldwide.

CMC Limited through its US subsidiary, CMC Americas Inc, signed a master services agreement to this effect with TRW Automotive Inc, the global leader in automotive safety systems on October 16, 2003 at Detroit.

CMC and Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) will target business opportunities ranging multi-million dollar over a five-year period. CMC has been working with TRW Automotive since 1998, when Lucas Ltd, UK, selected CMC for outsourcing its automotive embedded systems work. Lucas Ltd later became a part of TRW Automotive.

Over the past five years, CMC has developed strong relationships with various divisions of TRW Automotive across North America and Europe, providing electronic hardware / software design and embedded development services. CMC has been critically involved in several of TRW Automotive's product lines, including braking systems, steering systems, safety and security products, and body electronics.
