CMC, Pune, to computerise Goa sales tax department

CMC Pune signed an agreement with department of sales tax, Goa, on August 20, 2003 to customise the core functionalities of CMC's taxation software, iComitrax, for the state.

The solution will enable accelerated data analysis, effective monitoring and help the state sales tax department increase its revenues by plugging leaks, while improving customer service simultaneously. The application is enabled for value added tax (VAT), as and when it is introduced.

The agreement was signed by the Goa Finance Secretary Rina Ray and N N Chipalkatti, AGM-SI, CMC Pune, at the Goa secretariat.
