PDA based health care solution demonstrated

The PDA based health care solution developed under the FHIMS (Family Health Information Monitoring System) by CMC was demonstrated to Ms Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister for health and family welfare and the AP State Health Minister, Dr K Siva Prasad Rao on March 17, 2003. The minister was explained the various details of functionality of this software and its unique features.

The citizen interface module of the system provides a view to the general public of the status and beneficiaries names from internet/web. This ensures transparency for all the services of the Health Department. The Minister expressed satisfaction on the computerisation work done by the department and suggested for replication of this software in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Later at a press conference, the union minister mentioned the PDA usage by the auxiliary nurses and midwives (ANM) and expressed the hope that the computerisation in state would be expanded speedily.
