CMC signs MoU with XIMB for 5C

CMC has entered into ITES to combat the current trends in IT industry. An MoU was recently signed by Mr S K Agrawal, AGM (E&T) of CMC, and Father Abraham of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) on February 26, 2003. A product branded 5C, jointly designed by both the parties, offers a certificate course for call centre counsellors. 5C shall deliver to the students the best technical and soft skills.

XIMB is one of the top management institutes in the country and has completed 15 years of purposeful existence, offering management education "with a difference" or "with a human face", as it is now popularly known.

Enrollment to 5C will be through a two-tier screening process and all the successful students are assured of a campus interview. This provides a good career opportunity for graduates with good communication skills and command over the English language.

To start with, 5C will be launched at two locations, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The 'Train the Trainer program' has already been conducted by the professors of XIMB at Bhubaneswar. Faculties from both Kolkata and Hyderabad have attended the same.
