Inauguration of Xerox Centre of Excellence
at CMC Centre, Hyderabad

Xerox
Corporation, USA has awarded CMC-TCS a
major contract in the print domain. This
was a win against stiff competition from
Indian and international players. This

product development prospects in the printing,
scanning and imaging domains involving
embedded systems, Unix, Java, desktop
technologies and IDM services.
A
Centre of Excellence for Xerox (Xerox-CoE)
has been set up at the CMC Centre in Hyderabad.
A big lab with state-of-the-art production
printers is in place to carry out all
the design, development, test and sustenance
activities to deliver quality services
to Xerox as a strategic partner. This
project is the first of its kind for CMC-TCS.
The
Center of Excellence was formally inaugurated
on April 27, 2004 in the presence of Mr
Eugene Williams, vice president, software
engineering operations, Mr Steven Christensen,
project manager, distributed development
of Xerox Corporation, USA, Mr Rajesh Nambiar,
regional manager, TCS - Hyderabad, Mr
Chinta Prakash, general manager, CMC -
southern region and other senior dignitaries
from both CMC and TCS.

deal showcases the synergy between TCS
and CMC, leveraging the combined strengths
in brand name, technologies, processes
and project management to deliver a true
value proposition to Xerox Corporation.
