TC/4
is a total banking solution which provides
for anytime, anywhere banking with delivery
channels such as internet banking, tele-banking
and ATMs, that can be centrally controlled.
It offers comprehensive and cost-effective
data warehousing and disaster recovery
systems, as well as online bank-wide MIS
and automated inter-branch reconciliation.
Developed
on open systems using fourth generation
languages, TC/4's architecture is three-tier
client-server with Tuxedo as the middleware
for transaction management. The front-end
branch delivery system has a graphic user
interface (GUI). The TC/4 database resides
on a central Unix / Linux server with
an Oracle 9i or higher engine.
This
structure makes TC/4 a very flexible system.
It has a core TC/4 engine that is successfully
running at few locations in India, and
abroad - the previous version of which
is operational at several overseas banks.
Each
of the connected branches has Windows
2000/2003 Server with clients connected
on a local LAN working on a branch delivery
system, which communicates with the central
server through the network. The central
server is a high-end enterprise level
RISC machine with high-availability transaction
processing system features like hot swappable
disks, RAID support, on-line diagnostics,
fault-tolerant features, etc. Therefore,
there is no logical limit to the numbers
of accounts, transactions and terminals
that a bank can operate with this system.
