The construction management system facilitates maintenance of necessary data as well as generation of reports and queries for the I&CAD department of the Andhra Pradesh government, to aid in planning, design, construction and monitoring for its projects.

It provides accurate and relevant information to make effective decisions at different levels. It improves management of high-volume data and minimises information delays at different management levels, apart from enabling effective sharing of data and information among various management levels and concerned field offices.

Scope
Design, development and installation of a construction management system for effective monitoring and control of ongoing construction activities of the Srirama Sagar project (SRSP) and the Srisailam right bank canal (SRBC), both irrigation projects.

IT-based construction management
The system is based on a client-server configuration. Servers and clients of the required configuration are installed at key offices of both the projects - four division offices, one circle office and one chief engineer's office in each of the two projects, and also at headquarters, Hyderabad.

A similar construction management system has also been designed, developed and installed for Neeravari Nigam Limited, a project of the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.
