system
The
client
Andhra Pradesh
Police
The
law enforcement agency of one of India's
large states
The
Andhra Pradesh State Police has a FACTS
central system in the capital city, Hyderabad,
and one FACTSfinder in each of its 28
district headquarters. Each district system
has a database of 50,000 rolled prints
and is connected to the FACTS central
system on a wide area network (WAN). This
enables a search on the local database
at the district level and, in case the
fingerprint does not find a match, the
search is forwarded to the FACTS central
system.
