GE Supply, Shelton, Connecticut, required migration of a business objects repository from Informix to Oracle and upgradation of business objects and web intelligence from version 4.1.5 to 5i. The source repository with data for 2000 users was in Informix. The target repository with data for 2000 users was to be in Oracle. The size of the source and target repositories was about 2 gigabytes

Migration of the business objects repository from Informix to Oracle was performed using MS-Access. Upgradation of business objects full client was from version 4.1.5 to version 5.1.2 and web intelligence from version 2.0 to 2.6. It involved upgradation of full client and web intelligence reports to the new version. CMC also performed an overall health check of the business objects system and provided recommendations for adoption of best practices.
