National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance

CMC received the Certificate of Recognition for adopting excellent practices in Corporate Governance from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi (ICSI). CMC was adjudged as one of the top 7 companies in India for such national accolade by ICSI. ICSI identify, foster and reward the culture of evolving globally acceptable standards of Corporate Governance among Indian Companies since a decade. The Award winning companies were selected by the Jury comprising of a galaxy of eminent personalities from different sectors and headed by former Chief Justice of India, Mr R C Lahoti.

Mr J K Gupta, CFO and Mr Vivek Agarwal, Company Secretary & Head-Legal on behalf of the Company received the accolade from the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee at the award ceremony function organized by ICSI on December 16, 2010 in New Delhi.
